Spooling
Our customers often asked us to inspect and spool umbilicals and hoses onto the reels we manufacture for them. Physical umbilical inspection is done by visual and hands on inspection procedures as the umbilicals are spooled from the shipping drum to the reel. We are also asked to unspool and re-spool umbilicals and hoses onto reels that have been in service for several years.
All of these spooling services are best performed at our Houston facility but we do have portable equipment and are prepared to re-spool reels offshore if requested by the rig owner. Reel Power Oil & Gas has several service technicians that maintain their various offshore required credentials to be prepared for offshore spooling and other maintenance work on our equipment when needed.
