Reel Power Marine & Energy has introduced a new patent-pending Integrated Raw Water Umbilical Hose for raw water, deepwell hose reel, and seawater-lift applications on self-elevating platforms and jack-ups.
The fully assembled design combines a 300-psi raw water hose with pre-installed pump power conductors, spare conductors, and a dedicated safety cable. A braided rubber outer cover provides additional mechanical and UV protection while creating a uniform profile for smoother deployment.
Compared with conventional assemblies that require power cables and safety wire rope to be manually wrapped around the hose, RPME’s integrated design offers:
- Safer, simpler installation and replacement
- Expected two to three times longer hose and cable life
- Built-in spare conductors for rapid switchover
- Improved mechanical and UV protection
- No increase in the required bend radius
The hose is available in 6-inch and 8-inch configurations and can be supplied separately or fully assembled on a new RPME reel.
