Houston, TX – [October 08, 2026] – Reel Power Marine & Energy, a leading provider of advanced handling and deployment equipment for marine and energy, is pleased to announce the launch of Marine Terminal Reels (MTR), a new fluid-transfer system engineered as a simpler, more reliable alternative to conventional marine loading arms for marine terminals and ports.

Based on a reel-based platform, MTR draws on Reel Power's years of expertise in reel technology, built with the same focus on safety, reliability and performance that defines the company's broader product line. Instead of the complex articulated structure of a conventional loading arm, MTR uses a motorized hose reel that deploys the hose to the vessel in about three minutes and retrieves it in about two.

The results are measurable. MTR virtually eliminates spill and fire risk on the terminal. It also delivers 80% less downtime and 83% lower repair costs than a conventional loading arm, with half the lead time. For terminal operators, that means fewer interruptions to vessel operations, a lower cost of ownership over the life of the equipment, and faster delivery when a new berth is built or an aging loading arm needs to be replaced. MTR is proudly made in the USA.

"MTR sets a new standard for bunker fuel and bulk liquid cargo operations at marine terminals. We engineered it around what operators deal with every day: safety incidents, unplanned downtime, and the cost of keeping an aging loading arm running" said Guillermo Calderon, Director of Business Development, Marine Services at Reel Power Marine & Energy.

MTR is available in single-hose and dual-hose configurations. The dual-hose version pairs a loading hose with a vapor recovery hose for cargoes and terminals that require vapor control. Control options include wired or wireless remote pendants and PLC controls, so terminals can match the system to their berths, operations and cargo mix, from fuels to chemicals. The standard hose is 8 inches (203 mm) inside diameter and 75 feet (22.9 m) long, with other sizes available.

MTR is built on Reel Power's proven offshore hose reel technology, field-tested in demanding marine environments on more than 70 jack-up rigs worldwide. It is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Houston, Texas, which means shorter lead times and local support for major terminal hubs in the U.S.A. U.S. manufacturing also positions MTR to meet domestic content requirements under the Buy American Act (BAA) and the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), an advantage on federally funded port projects, including those supported by MARAD and DOT grant programs.

"Terminal operators have been asking for a safer, more dependable way to transfer product, and for equipment they are not waiting months to get. MTR answers both. We are proud to build it in Houston and to stand behind it with our own engineers" said Michael Spence, Sr VP Market Development, Reel Power Marine & Energy.

MTR is available now. In North America, sales and quoting are handled exclusively through HEMCO, Reel Power's newly named exclusive distributor for the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with Reel Power providing direct technical support and engineering expertise to customers.
