Reel Power Marine & Energy has successfully tested the Loc-Torus II remote hydraulic connector on a toe prep operation in South Texas. The connector performed flawlessly on multiple connections and at pressure. The connector is designed to remotely attach the wireline BOP to top of frac tree, eliminating the need to send personnel up in a man lift to make and break the connection. By keeping personnel out of the danger zone, the pressure pumping can continue while the perforating charge is changed out, saving valuable frac time.
The Reel Power Marine & Energy Loc-Torus II is a complete systems approach with remotely connected Night Cap, if require, and control package with bore pressure outputs, interlocks to prevent operation with positive bore pressure, lockable controls, redundant safety features with operational display and diagnostics.
