Guillermo has been a business development leader in the marine and offshore market for 19+ years with experience across the Americas, Europe, Latin America and Asia. He holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation and an Executive MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
In his new role, Guillermo will lead efforts to expand Reel Power Marine & Energy’s footprint in the Marine Services and the Middle East, developing strategic partnerships and driving innovative solutions to support clients in these markets. Leveraging his expertise in marine and offshore business development, strategic growth initiatives, and complex energy infrastructure projects, he will focus on aligning the company’s advanced technologies with the evolving needs of the marine and offshore energy sectors.
Prior to joining Reel Power Marine & Energy, Guillermo held engineering and business development leadership roles at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where he played a pivotal role in securing key marine and offshore energy contracts and advancing next-generation maritime technologies. His experience in strategic market development, complex project advisory, and marine technology innovation makes him a strong asset to the company’s growth strategy.
